Step 1.Purchase a Prepaid starter kit The starter kit has enough equipment to test 12 cows/heifers. It contains 12 Vacutainer®, 15 Needles and 3 Blood Collecting Holders.
Step 2.Assemble collecting equipment Assemble red topped vacuum tubes, needles and holder. 'Remember to use a new needle for each animal'
Step 3.Collect sample Tail bleed and collect approx 2cc of whole blood from each cow. Label each tube using water-insoluble ink or pencil with the
tube sequence number and the animal number - DO NOT OPEN TUBE
